Cambridge Graduate Orchestra

March Concert - CANCELLED

Following the cancellation of all events by the Cambridge Science Festival, we are very sad to say that we have also decided to cancel/postpone our concert (and the pre-concert talk) due to concerns relating to the coronavirus outbreak.

Thank you for your understanding, and we appreciate that you will be disappointed, much as we are.

We hope to be able to reschedule the concert to a future date. However, given the uncertainty about how long this outbreak will last, we do not have any clear idea yet of when this would be.

Aim of the Orchestra

The orchestra was founded in 2004 by Alex Reid in order to bring together graduate musicians dispersed across the university and town and provide a sociable environment in which to rehearse and meet other like-minded musicians. The Orchestra gave its first concert conducted by Peter Tregear in March 2005.

The Cambridge Graduate Orchestra welcomes graduates, post graduates, fellows, mature students and other interested instrumentalists from within the university and city. Rehearsals occur throughout the calendar year.
